Boosting the Usage of Green Energy for EV Charging in Smart Buildings Managed by an Aggregator Through a Novel Renewable Usage Index

The growing trend of electric vehicles (EVs) and building integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs) is a promising means to reduce related climate change issues. EV loads can be managed via an aggregator maximize the usage green energy produced by photovoltaic units (PV) through smart charging strategies that exploit controllable demand connected BIPV. Previous works have focused on coordination in BIPV, although without optimization encourages with PV units. This paper proposes aggregation strategy maximizes index (GEI) for EVs, which takes advantage periods high availability charge batteries; moreover, post-processing stage GEI provides owners information about percentage charged energy, period period, comes from generation. results case study 510 EVs 17 BIPVs show effectively optimizes contributes non-renewable consumption sector, satisfies owners’ requirements transportation.
